Dolphins take much longer to pick up items

Dolphins now take much longer to pick up and release multiple items back to back. The dolphin now will occasionally hold onto an item for up 15 seconds or more before releasing it, which will then be able to pick up another item. It appears to be random as to when this happens, it can sometimes pick up multiple (stacks) of items back to back with no problem, but will then pause and not pick up any more until it has dropped the current item it is holding onto.

This appears to be a bug introduced in 26.1, as in prior versions (1.21.11 and before) this behavior was not observed. I have included screenshots of the behavior (the dolphin is refusing to drop the item currently in its mouth). It is hard to tell from the screenshot, but there is a trapdoor acting as a barrier to stop the items so the dolphin may pick them up. The items are within range on the dolphin’s pickup radius (verified by the intermittent behavior of it picking up items).

To recreate the situation, trap a dolphin in a 1x1 of water, and throw multiple stacks (10 or more for best affect) of items into the corner touching the dolphin’s hit box. The dolphin would normally pick up the items in rapid succession, but stops randomly, only to start again
