Sulfur Cubes cannot be placed in Adventure mode

Description

Bucketed Sulfur Cubes with an absorbed block cannot be placed into the world in Adventure mode. It is consistent with the other mobs to disable regular Sulfur Cube Buckets and Spawn Eggs but it should benefit the game to allow placement for those with an absorbed block.

Players are allowed to pick up Sulfur Cubes but not to place them back down for some reason. This change will benefit adventure-mode golf maps, for example, where the player can manually pick up their “ball” from out-of-bounds areas and place it back down without using dispensers or other external methods.

To Reproduce

  1. Obtain a Sulfur Cube Bucket with an absorbed block by any means (e.g. Creative Mode).

  2. Switch into Adventure Mode.

  3. Place the Sulfur Cube into the world.

Expected Result

The Sulfur Cube with an absorbed block is placed into the world for use and the bucket is left in the inventory.

Actual Result

The player is stopped from placing the Sulfur Cube.

This is working as intended, mobs in buckets can’t be placed in adventure mode. See MC-131346.

Okay, if that is really the consensus then I can’t do much about it. I just thought that the Sulfur Cube with an absorbed block are neither “mob-like” (spawn eggs) nor “block-like” (solid blocks / water) and so are closer to boats, minecarts, etc. So I kinda expected that they would naturally be placeable in Adventure Mode.

And also, this might be the best way to go because one can simply use a pair of Shears to remove the absorbed block, virtually allowing the player to spawn a Sulfur Cube.
