Buried treasure maps found in sunken ships are regular blank maps that do not display any treasure location.

Experiencing the same issue, just found a map, right clicked and this is what popped up, no marker, simply acting as a regular map.
For added information, only tweaks I made to the world was “Keep Inventory” “Bonus chest” and the Experimental “Improved minecarts”
