Straw beds and beds use 3D inventory icons in Java Edition, while Bedrock Edition uses 2D icons. Based on the new cushion items, Java should use 2D inventory icons for straw beds and beds as well to maintain consistency between editions.

as you can see, on bedrock edition all beds have 2D icon, so this also includes straw beds
