Deaths from explosions caused by a player are not attributed to that player when they are offline

Summary: All player-caused explosions fail to pass their owner tag while their owner is offline or sitting on the ‘You Died’ death screen.

Steps to Recreate: Place two pieces of TNT together in close proximity. Have a player ignite a piece of TNT and then immediately log out or die.

Expected results: When the player-caused explosion occurs, the player’s owner tag will be transferred to close by explosives.

Observed results: The player’s owner tag is only transferred while the player is online or alive. It will not transfer while the player is on the death screen or offline.

Notes: This occurs will all player generated explosives.

Hello, thank you for the report @Bow Assassin35

We are considering this ticket as two separate issues. If you are willing to open a new ticket for the specific issue of explosion attribution not working when the player who caused the explosion is in the death screen, we would like to look at that separately.

Thanks!

I’ll go ahead and do that. Thanks for the update on the issue!
