In 26.3-snapshot-2, replaceable is removed from configured carver, and carvers can now replace any block including bedrock. Though this does not cause holes in bedrock since carver only works within y between getMinGenY() + 1 and getMinGenY() + getGenDepth() - 1 - protectedBlocksOnTop according to NoiseBasedChunkGenerator, they are now replacing any bedrock within this range, which results in upper part of bedrock layer is carved and flattened.
I’m not sure if this is intended since changelog specifically says “carvers will replace any block“ in technical changes section, but I’m reporting this as this introduces major terrain gaps between version.
How to reproduce
Observe caves/canyons leaching the bottom of the world in spectator mode and confirm how the shape of the bedrock under lava changes before and after snapshot-2, both in overworld and the nether.
