Problem:
Starting in snapshot 7, the swing_animation component has been split into attack_animation and interact_animation. The changelog claims this is supposed to be able to replicate old functionality except for how they react to the swing command and for the item dropping animation. This is not the case though, since it used to be possible to have an item without any animation.
While the changelog does mention the βnoneβ type was removed, the expectation would be that removing the component would remove the animation. All vanilla items currently default to [attack_animation={},interact_animation={}] which is identical to [attack_animation={type:"whack"},interact_animation={type:"whack"}]so it seems that removing the components with [!attack_animation,!interact_animation] should remove the animations.
Steps to reproduce:
In 26.2, this command can give an item without any attack or interact animations:
/give @s stick[swing_animation={type:"none"}]
In 26.3 snapshot 9, there is no way to do this
Invalid type:
/give @s stick[attack_animation={type:"none"},interact_animation={type:"none"}]Identical to default stick:
/give @s stick[!attack_animation,!interact_animation]

Hi! We removed the "none" swing animation type because it seemed undersupported and had unexpected side-effects like the body being animated while the arm wasn't. We plan to bring this functionality back for this release, but would like to know what you're using this for so we can better support this functionality in the future.
Thank you for your report!
