Camera Rotation Lags Behind Mouse Input (High Latency)

When moving the mouse to rotate the camera, there is a significant and noticeable delay between the physical mouse movement and the corresponding in-game camera rotation. The view turns very slowly and does not keep up with the speed of mouse movement.

This is not an automatic drift — the camera does not move on its own. The issue is that when the player does move the mouse, the camera responds sluggishly, as if there is heavy smoothing, input buffering, or frame-rate-dependent input processing preventing real-time 1:1 mouse-to-camera mapping.

The attached video demonstrates the issue:

  • The player moves the mouse to look around, but the camera rotates far slower than expected.

  • The crosshair stays centered, but the world rotates at a delayed, sluggish pace.

  • The player has to move the mouse much further than normal to achieve the same rotation, making quick reactions (combat, building, parkour) extremely difficult.

Does this still occur when Toggle Cinematic Camera is bound to a key?

If not, unbind that control again and see if you can find the trigger for the Cinematic Camera toggling. If it is alt+tabbing to and from Minecraft, you are encountering MC-311826.

This report will automatically reopen when you reply.
