On some systems, tabbing in and out of the game in fullscreen mode while the "Toggle Cinematic Camera" key bind is unbound will toggle it

Tabbing in and out of the game while in full screen mode causes cinematic camera to activate, assuming cinematic camera is unbinded in the keybind settings. This is an extremely intrusive bug that needs to be fixed asap. Pressing windows key again does not toggle it off again, even leaving the World and rejoining does not toggle it off, requiring it to be binded. It is likely related to the changes to fullscreen made in 26.3.

Also note that tabbing out of the game while in fullscreen mode (instead of windowed) also no longer causes the game to become minimized, instead now only causing the taskbar to appear over the game. This is the case regardless of whether or not exclusive full screen mode is enabled.

Tabbing out of the game by using the windows key*

The fullscreen minimizing behavior is MC-311781. I’ve stumbled on a couple of extremely strange input behaviors only a single time that feel as if the input is buffered and delayed after switching focus (alt-tab, Windows key or opening an application with a hotkey) in 26.3 development snapshots, I haven’t managed to find a way to reproduce them though. Seems like a race condition.

The video sort of looks like you have cinematic camera enabled, which has happened before this snapshot cycle (see MC-311298, possibly MC-311612). Does the issue still occur when Toggle Cinematic Camera is bound to something?

Toggle cinematic camera is not bound. If I bind it to something, the issue does not happen. The bug seems to be that in 26.3, having cinematic camera not bound causes it to activate when pressing the windows key.

Good to know. Please provide the following information to aid Mojang in reproducing this:

  • OS version

  • OS language

  • Keyboard layout

  • CPU model

  • GPU model
