Relates to MC-308577.
Unlike most blocks, Programmer Art defines specific models for the brewing stand block. There appear to be errors in this model, however, that make it noticeably inaccurate and broken-looking compared to how brewing stands actually looked in older versions:
the arms look unusually dark compared to other 2D block elements
the arms are rotated in 45-degree increments, rather than 120-degree
sometimes the arms have warped, rectangular pixels that change in size when a bottle is added or removed
To reproduce:
open a version from 1.0.0 to 1.7.10
place a brewing stand and inspect it closely
now open the latest version and apply the Programmer Art resource pack
again, place and inspect a brewing stand
Expected results: the Programmer Art brewing stand, by design, would match the old versions' brewing stand model
Actual results: there are striking differences present
How to fix: I’ve attached a resource pack that completely fixes this issue to the ticket. Each model file is tweaked accordingly. Mojang have my full permission (and strong encouragement) to replace the files in Programmer Art with these to fix this issue.
