The game crashes in the pause menu when the music toast is on and a music track cannot be played

The Bug:

The game crashes in the pause menu when the music toast is on and a music track cannot be played.

With the music toast set to show in the pause menu, the game crashes while the pause menu is open if a music track has no sound it can play, for example with a resource pack that empties a music event, or on a computer without an audio device.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Enable the attached resource pack (MC-312665.zip) which replaces every music sound event with an empty list.

  2. Open the “Music & Sounds” menu and make sure “Master Volume” and “Music” are not at 0%.

  3. Set “Music Toast” to "Pause Menu" and “Music Frequency” to "Constant", so the game tries to start a new track every 5 seconds.

  4. Create or open a singleplayer world.

  5. Press the Escape key to open the pause menu and leave it open.

  6. Wait about 10 seconds and observe if the game crashes.

Observed Behavior:

The game crashes.

Expected Behavior:

The game would not crash.
