Smooth lighting does not apply to the bases of icicles

When icicles are placed between sunlight and a cave, they appear to have shading and/or rendering (it’s best to see it if you find a mountain cave entrance and it is noon)

How to reproduce the issue:

Locate a cave entrance that is elevated on jagged peaks or any mountain biome during day and/or noon, place one or two icicles on the floor between the cave and the light (it should be underneath a stone block or anything else in the cave right by the sky) and you should notice, the icicles shading and/or rendering appears darker (and a bit broken) then how it is in the sunlight, the shading error starting appearing a few blocks into the entrance (maybe 2 or 3 blocks in), you can notice that that base and including that spike in the middle is misrendered and/or not shaded correctly and in the proper way, but when it is DIRECTLY next to the light and it is elevated more TOWARDS that light (in this case it was above a snow block), you do not see that happening at all.

Expected Result:

The bases of icicles will be shaded correctly between the cave and the sunlight.

Observed result:

The bases of icicles are not shaded correctly between the cave and the sunlight.
