So I was in a city I made when I lost power from a severe storm. In the past ive lost power and my worlds were fine, but this time something was very wrong. Two chunks had restored themselves as if I never touched them, and another is missing; one of those world hole things. While I can just rebuild the chunks of the city that were restored, the hole thing is a different story. I've tried several things to be rid of it (logging back in; placing something on it, even take a tunnel through it). I lag when on top of it, and there's a rail tunnel that goes through it, but the whole is blocking me from going through.

I wouldn't say that a corrupt world file caused by your computer losing power as it was writing/buffering a save is a Minecraft bug... yes the game is not reading the world file correctly, but that's because the world file is messed up. You can try fixing the screwed-up chunk issue by deleting the affected chunks (not just clearing the blocks) in mcedit or something, that should at least allow you to rebuild.

So with mcedit I can delete the affected chunks-both the restored ones and the hole one-that sounds great, rebuilding not too much of an issue, but how will I know which chunks to delete?
