When you use /summon to make a boat riding a mob & then ride the boat the mob walks in one direction only

Well I just got the idea that maybe you could ride anything, if you summon a boat riding on any mob you wanted to ride on, like using a saddle on a pig.
Anyway, it worked! But you can't steer them & they keep walking in one direction. Here is how to reproduce it.

Use this command:

/summon Boat/Minecart ~ ~ ~ {Riding:{"mob"}}

And that's it. Please fix this, because this would be awesome! Thank you!

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 14w11b or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. - bot

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.8.1 Prerelease 3 / Launcher version 1.5.3 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Unable to test because of MC-90175

Also the command would look like this in the snapshots:

/summon Sheep ~ ~ ~ {Passengers:[{id:"Boat"}]}

In 1.9.4 the boat can't be moved by player, but it's controlled by a mob underneath. Fixed?

Cannot confirm for 16w21b

Fixed in/before 1.11. Boat can be rotated relative to the mob but the mob moves per its normal AI.
