Sky went out / sky is unlit during day.

When I started minecraft, the sky was flickering strangely. I'm in a dry area, but suspected lightning from nearby areas. It was constant for a couple minutes, and annoying, so I went underground. When I came back up, the flickering was gone and the sky was fairly dark with no stars. I assumed it was night. I looked outside later and the sky was black and starless. Now it's daytime - burning zombies - and the sky is not right for day, even cloudy day doesn't look like this. I don't get the pool of light around the lit tower like nighttime has, and I can see the landscape better than at night. The sky looks like it's been turned off.

MC-673 is fixed.
Please follow the release notes if you test the snapshots to avoid unnecessary tickets.

I didn't realize the sky would get dark in the desert during a T-storm, but I went to the edge of the plains to verify it is raining. Now I have a new problem. This T-storm has lasted at least 3 days, possibly longer. The "toggledownfall" and "weather clear" commands both showed their acknowledgement, but did not change the weather. Should I build an ark? Or should I create a new ticket?

/summon ark 😉

Restarting the server has helped in most cases, see MC-32671, but one report that it doesn't help: MC-33141
