For some weird reason, when you place stairs in front (like the image bellow), the arrows that are thrown of the dispenser are given to a player in a certain distance from the dispenser (I will try to upload the image showing where it can be collected).
It also happens with steps.
The red rectangle is the area where you can collect the arrows, and the dispenser is in the middle of those iron blocks (bellow them there is a high speed redstone repeater)

Confirmed that this is still the case in 1.5. This happens with slabs as well as stairs. It only occurs when the block is immediately in front of the dispenser.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w04b? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Fascinating, im confirming that as per my screenshot.
To clarify, the arrows are fired out of the dispener in seemingly random orientations directly at the player whereupon they are collected and put back into the players inventory.
