Fire never extinguishes with gamerule doFireTick false

Mod edit:
With /gamerule doFireTick false burning blocks (e.g. stone) never extinguish

I don't know if this happened in 13w39a or b. But fire in not disgusting anymore. Its not on nether rack and lightning is setting everything on fire. I might have /gamerule doFireTick false or true. But Minecraft wiki says it does not effect this issue. Help

I expected for fire to extinguish after a few seconds of being placed on stone. What did I get? I have fire everywhere from lighting and its not going away. Help

Yes. Just like the picture

Regression of MC-188 or MC-1088. Is the fire actual fire that can hurt you, or is it just an illusion (won't ignite/hurt you when you walk through it)?

kumasasa

It is "real" fire.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w30c? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

isn't this intended that fire doesn't go out (lightning doesn't create fire with doFireTick false for a long time already)

[Mod] redstonehelper

I think so too. WAI.

This is the intended behaviour of doFireTick.
