[MC-34960] Rendering stops through water one block away from ice w/ glass at the end

To explain that beautifully complicated architectural diagram, if you look through water with some ice one block away from it, and some glass immediately after the ice, then the glass is not visible

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 1.7.2? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
