[MC-35035] hopper don't render propperly

hopper become see though when render more then +- 10 blocks from the player. when mipmap is on. seems to be solved since 1.7.2

That's Mipmaps, if want them to render correctly 10+ blocks away, turn it off.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 13w48b? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
