While in inventory, if an enchanted item is picked up (I.E. clicked on) the background rendering either goes dark or white/gray.
What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the rendering to remain the same as it does for non-enchanted items.
What actually happened was...:
The rendering glitches and produces a darker or lighter image.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any inventory style GUI
2. Click on enchanted Item
3. View rendering behind the menu

1: you see a hazy shadow to the right of th gui
2: Watch the letters "Building blocks" -> black-ish
3: Watch the letters "Building blocks" -> white-ish
Related to: MC-35810. I explained (some of) it's behaviour there.
When you have an effect this also makes the effect box white.
For some reason this is only happening when:
-you are not hovering over an item
-there are no non-enchanted items in your inventory
-there is an enchanted item loaded (in a UI not as a dropped item)
Confirmed.
Confirmed in 1.7.1 (Windows 7)
I would attach pictures but I can't because of the inability to use F2 in the Inventory GUI.
also happens to text in gui...
1: open inventory
2: watch "crafting"
3: hover, click, copy enchanted item and text changes color
