Tested the new saplings in creative, after destroying the wood blocks, the leaf blocks drop Spruce saplings (As well as Apples) from Roofed Oak, and Oak Saplings from Acacia. (Otherwise the saplings actually work)

I can confirm this too. The new trees have their own wood and leaves and saplings but the saplings do not drop from the corresponding leafs.
Just as an info:
Trees generated before 13w43a in Savannah and Roofed Forest biomes will still have the "regular" kinds of wood and leaves and therefor only oak saplings.
Of course. But we are talking about newly generated worlds. And placing down the new saplings from the creative menu.
Yes, I know, I already tested it out as well.
But there are gonna still be people asking why they're not getting the saplings in an old world after the bug is fixed.
It was an old test world, however I just generated an entirely new world (That kindly put me in a savannah) and had the same result, Acacia's dropping Oak saplings.
