Chunks don't load properly while riding a boat.

While riding a boat the chunks seem to quit loading and i fall off into an endless void.

Did you try to make this bug happen again? Sometimes random chunk bugs can appear, are you sure this is the boat causing it?
Also when you see a chunk bug, never go inside it, it's "normal" if you fall into the void.

I have this problem, too. Chunks simply fail to load fast enough. If I don't come to a complete halt and wait a good while, I fall off the edge and cannot recover.

No problems while walking/running.

Happened to me on 18-Dec, also riding a boat. It's bad design if the program treats an absence of data as data of absence (void). The "void" that causes death should be either a hard-coded boundary or a data-driven boundary, but something explicit either way. Players should not be randomly killed (and all of their possessions destroyed) simply because a server/ISP is too slow to deliver chunks under their boats.

Not going to happen as people have found ways to build machines, arenas, etc that use the void. Adding a boundary to the void would break them. However I agree on the death issue.

Torabi

He's not saying there should be a literal boundary, or wall, in the void, only that it should be clearly defined where it begins, and that the game should not assume that any given space is a void simply because it has received no data stating otherwise.

Maybe the game shouldn't allow you to enter unloaded chunks.
