As we know Minecraft gets buggy at X=30.000.000 Z= 30.000.000
You can teleport to 29.999.999 Z= 29.999.999, but you can't walk more.
But, if you enter /setworldspawn 30000000 128 30000000 and you type in /kill, you will be respawned in an illegal area, where you can't respawn, and after some respawn tries, Minecraft freezes.

Cannot confirm for 1.8.5 now you cannot set the worldspawn to an invalid coordinate using this method, however when you use this, it just fails spawning you at this position:
/setworldspawn 30000000.0 128 30000000.0
Relates to: MC-75862
Not buggy, beyond the 2,999,999 limit is literally an area you cannot go, by design.
I say no bug, stupid values produce stupid results.
