Keep throwing in creative mode makes items disappear.

1) Throw various items on the ground. (I did it while hovering over an item and pressing my drop key. I threw out various amounts of eggs.)

2) Move your camera down and go into the survival inventory. Keep hovering over the items and keep pressing the throw button.

You'll notice that if you keep picking things up, they won't appear anymore in the survival inventory.
