Can confirm!, i thought it was a feature.. because it helps with building.
Although i can see the problem for redstony people.

Is indeed confirmed as a feature. You can now put buttons and levers and other things on blocks you can interact with. If you want to interact whilst crouching don't hold a block or item.

Odd, this is a weird feature then. I was about to report it for trapdoors.
