[MC-42130] Yes, I've submitted before, I was sent back here with the bug, again to report it.

Pressed the play button on the launcher, launcher responded by initializing minecraft and shutting down directly after the Mojang screen to be replaced by the launcher.

Please do not submit a bug twice, if you already submited one once, and it was resolved as whatever (in your case: Duplicate), please just either wait for a fix or do/try the fixes on the original report.
