Steps to reproduce

  • Give yourself the Time to Strike achievement

  • Spawn in a wolf

  • Go on survival

  • Hit the wolf once so that it is hostile, then kill it, you will not get the achievement

Probably intended, as a hostile wolf is not counted as a "real" hostile mob.

but it still involves a fight, and you kill it, you should at least get an achievement for killing something that is attacking you
