Dark rain particles in void when single block above void

The bug

When a single block is placed above the void, it will make a darkened version of the rain particles in the void for one lock if raining.

This will not happen if two or more blocks are placed above the void.

How to reproduce

  1. Open up a superflat creative world

  2. Use /weather rain

  3. Break all blocks but bedrock in a certain area

  4. Go one block below bedrock

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time.

Should I create a ticket about it or update MC-131770?
