When you land right on the side of a slime block, you take fall damage in survival (of course). I tried this in superflat world btw. Also This snapshot creates extreme lag on other applications (even google).

? Either you land on top of the slime block or on top of an adjacant block, but in no way on the side.
Please attach a screenshot in 3rd person mode with debug screen enabled.
