when cloning redstone dust and repeaters onto powered versions of themselves while removing the power source, it can create one or more pulses. To test for these pulses I also cloned command blocks at the same time.
I expected to be able to clone an off redstone contraption onto an on redstone contraption to reset it. But instead a lot of unexpected pulses were sent through the contraption.
I have included an image, were the top row is cloned onto the bottom row. The command blocks in the middle were used to do the cloning, and the others have commands like \say +X or \say -Z depending on what direction they are facing.
The three on the left act as expected and to not say anything. However, the other four have very unexpected results and are as follows:
Far left:
+X, +Z, -Z, -X
Middle left:
-X, +Z, +X, +X, +Z, -X
Middle right:
-Z, -X, -Z, -X
Far right:
+X, +Z, +X, +Z
This is especially confusing because a single repeater or dust does nothing, but two of them gives two pulses.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
