[MC-50609] Mob spawned even though gamerule doMobSpawning = false

While in a superflat world, I went AFK. I came back to find a mooshroom spawned. The world is a desert biome, so not sure how he spawned

You've probably summoned it using a command or an egg.

I didn't. I was afk and when I came back he was there

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
