Downward facing droppers and dispensers only shoot items west

I just made an account specifically to report this bug, it's driving me nuts. I can add that even if you place the dispenser/dropper in a 1x1 vertical shaft or tunnel, the items refuse to fall straight down and get ejected west.

Already fixed and is an duplicate of MC-50572 .

Nope, not fixed. I'm replicating it right now in 14w11b. Seriously, try to get an item to fall down a 1x1 shaft with a downward-facing dispenser. Can't do it.

The uploaded image shows blue wool dropped and red wool dispensed all have a component west as well as a north/south component. This was tested with 14w11b.

Problem exists in 14w17a as well

Still a problem as of 14w18a. Although the problem does NOT exist in 1.7.9, it does in 14w18a, with BOTH dispensers and droppers. Verified 04/30/2014; I posted separately in MC-54058.

Very frustrating! In 14w17a and 14w18a.
