Zombie pigmen run, really really fast. Really not sure why.

I've experienced this testing the AI of the mobs, it seems mobs that used to have the old AI that were switched to the new one, like zombie pigmen or spiders, get a major speed boost ONCE IN AWHILE, but not all the time. I've seen it happen to zombie pigmen, endermen (which seem to always have it until you hit them) , spiders, and silverfish.
Maybe this is an side effect of the mob AI changing from passive to aggresive when you are coming close?
No, its not babies and I could be watching them from halfway across the Nether (somehow) and they would be the exact same speed
I cannot believe no one even noticed that the pigmen can see as far as zombies, which isnt a bug, just because zombies and pigmen share some code. Have you seen any of them goibg normal speed? Or are they all going fast?
All of them were going fast. None of them are angry either. If it makes a difference they are in the Nether. They were all running around really quickly so I actually went back into my portal because I thought they were angry or something. Then upon inspection I relized that they were acting normal, derping around like zombie pigmen do.
Well I have seen sone have a speed boost ounce in awhile, but the ones that go normal speed eventually slow to zombie speed. I went to the nether and none of then did it, but that was in 06 or 07, when the ai changes were taken. I have to try it in the latest snapshot to be completely sure, what snapshot did this start?
Yeah, exactly my experience. Now I remember going into the nether in a previous snapshot, and a couple pigmen were too fast. But what I noticed is that zombie pigmen slow to zombie speed after they chase you for thirty seconds or so, try it out. I also noticed that they go slower in general, compared to current versions.
