An option to disable horizontal scroll in minecraft and change scroll speed for magic mouse users. Currently minecraft does not work overly well with native accelerated scrolling in all directions which makes the item on hand change when not intended due to micro movements on mouse.

Not a Minecraft bug.
Disable scroll and change sensitivity in your OS.

Yes the issue still exists in 1.8.
