when setting the world border to a very low number, severe block lag results. setting the border to a 1x1 area, and attempting to break a block in survival becomes slow as it continues to reappear. entities will jump around, not appear in the right location (more then normal, sometimes launching quite a distance) and mobs in general pretend to be enderman.

Seems to be when in ssp, and only when view distance is set to 16 chunks, with all other settings at maximum, 2gb's of ram allocated and the memory is constantly going from 11% to 60% around 1-2 times per second.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.

Cannot confirm.
Set world border to 1, can destroy and place blocks in survival without any lag.
