Please see the attached video. You can see in it that there is 10 block light (in the F3 menu) but there are no light sources close enough to produce that bright of light.

I've had similar issues with closed in areas that become fully lit. I was under the impression it was created with either fill commands or MCedit but I couldn't pinpoint how to reproduce it.
How did you create the ceiling?

I used mcedit to make the BIG ceiling. But all was fine then. I then added the zombie spawners with mcedit, and they worked fine. But then I noticed that they stopped spawning monsters as I manually built the ceilings on the glass spawning rooms. After I built the smaller iron ceilings on the 4 spawning rooms BY HAND, the whole room suddenly got bright. Strange.

Chances are a block is glitched (or more). To correct this, go around the room and find where light is 15, replace that block. But until we can replicate the bug, unfortunately I don't think Mojang can fix it. I would confirm because I've had this lighting issue before, but I can't figure out how to replicate it.
