The player's head orientation (or wearable item/helmet orientation, other than the armor) seems to get stuck to the one it was at when drinking a potion of invisibility. It resets when the potion effect runs out. This can be seen by wearing a pumpkin while invisible and using F5. The head/pumpkin does not move in relation to the body while looking around. Also, the weapon and tool use/hit animations don't work while invisible. (Sword block animation does work though.)
Edit: The sword block isn't identical to normal either. The sword is in a weird downward angle.

When on multyplayer and invisible both the armour and tool movements are liked to the nearest player to the invisible one.
To recreate do this: Get two people then one of them needs to drink an invisible potion. Then the person needs to ether wear helmet (pumpkins work the best) or hold a sword. Then the person that invisible needs to stand still (and be in f5 mode) while the other person needs to run and jump around.
If you recreate it you will see that the "bobbing feacher" where the sway of both the head and held tools move the same as the non invisoble player.
Another bug with the invisibility potions is that the "invisible" person's item in hand is still visible in a lan multiplayer-creative game. Is this a bug, or is it intented?
To recreate:have a person on a Windows XP and Windows 7 get on a lan multiplayer-creative with Windosw 7 as host. Now, if the host drinks a potion of invisibilty (8:00 duration), any item in the hand of the invisible person, excluding an empty hand, is still visible to person on the Windows XP.
Ps. I couldn't create a new report because the "choose a version of the game"( ie. 1.4.2) area would not work on my mobile device.
this happened to me too it doesnt really matter to me but i still think it should be fixed. i think the problem is since the item in hand appears to be seperated from the player, the computer sees it as an absolutly seperate thing, therefore, not able to move in sync with the player
