Mobs look at you when you are invisible

Mobs look at you when you are invisible. Isn't that kind of strange how a zombie or skeleton will look at you but not attack you? They will just look at you and not attack.

The picture is of a spider looking at me, but not attacking.

Are you sure that it isn't just random?

It's not random, the mob keeps looking back at you

Mobs are always looking randomly at the player, even if he is behind a wall or invisible. Most noticeable with villagers, who "socialize" with each other through walls. It's indeed strange, but fun. And it's not hurting anyone. I would keep it as it is.

Umm... spiders are neutral in the day, give more pics.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w08a? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

In 1.8, mobs don't see you when your hand is empty, otherwise they can sue you. In 1.7.4, only a few mobs such as spiders and slimes were unable to see you. However, it seems they no longer look at you.

No longer an issue as of some point during 1.8

Should be Reopened, as it is an issue in 15w51b
