In a artificial village the villagers don't have children

I can confirm that either the house detection has changed or the villager breeding is broken somehow...
I have an artificial village with 2 villagers cured from zombie villagers and like 50 "houses" as they worked before. Nothing.
I found a natural village with around 7-10 houses (so a pretty big one)... All but 2 died due to zombie attacks and even though I added more doors... nothing...
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.

Cannot confirm.
Probably your "houses" don't count as houses because there is not enough sky visible at one side of the door or not enough "no sky" at the other side.
Try to build the houses a bit more conventional.
