When an opaque block is placed with a one block-gap, we can place torches on tranparent blocks and non complete blocks : glowstone, sea lantern, ice and slabs, rails, pistons, repeater, buttons, plates, trapdoors, fence gate, lever, leaves, chests, saplings, etc..
Placing a block next to the transparent and adding a torch update and drop the torches.

Hello, this issue is still there in Minecraft 14w26b (launcher 1.4.4) I added pictures. Feature or duplicate not entirely fixed yet ?

Is in fact a duplicate. The torches are not on the transparent blocks, those are still attached to the stone in the middle but "floating".
