[MC-58947] Chests empty after upgrade

We upgraded to 14w26a, but we had a lot of blocks that were transparent. We downgraded to 14w25b which resulted in a lot of missing blocks (not transparent - they weren't in the world anymore). Once I saw that Dinnerbone fixed the bug, I used 14w26b. All blocks were back, and everything seemed fine, but all chests (exept for ender chests) were empty.

I'm not sure whether or not this has something to do with the fact that we downgraded, or if it's actually a bug.

It's sureley caused by downgrading, which is not supported. You should backup your world before changing to a new snapshot.

I have a world full of chest which I only upgraded and items are not lost. So your issue must be releated to downgrading. Again, always make backups before trying new snapshots or versions.
