Yes I do know how to do that, but with your similar report, it looks like this is a major problem and needs to be fixed.

This keeps happening to me in 1.15.2

Affects 20w08a. This was intended behaviour for 10 years, but suddenly it no longer working is considered WAI? Makes zero sense and should be reverted to how it was.

It has already been fixed.

Why not give the smithing table a use and make it so the enchantments stay when you upgrade your diamond gear in there, but get lost when you do it in a normal crafting table?

Working as intended. Flint only generates when mining the gravel.

I kinda hope this stays, as it's pretty useful.

Ok, my bad! This was caused by the "Plain Leather Armor" resourcepack from Vanilla Tweaks. This can be closed.

1.15 should be delayed until this is fixed.

Okay, I was mistaken, this is still in pre4. Really should be fixed before the full release as it breaks a lot of contraptions.
