Villagers pass through chests but not other solid blocks. This doesn't happen all the time, but it did happen near my house. They can also be spawned in the space where a chest is placed by right clicking the ground below the chest (as seen in the picture.)

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
