No crash logs in .minecraft folder, neither in logs folder.
That is most likely not the folder where your actual minecraft instance is saved in. (because ressourcepack folders are missing)
I have deleted everything related with Minecraft and I redownloaded Minecraft again. Still same problem and still same picture - no crash reports folder. BTW here's something: http://i.imgur.com/7OoRzsp.png
I can confirm it! It crashes without a crash report like forge does. I have the same graphics card.

This also happens to me if I use my Intel HD 4000, however if I switch to the other videocard in my machine which is a Radeon(unsure what model) it's fine.
It's still crashing in 1.8-pre1 on intel gpu.
xPaw: Issue was resolved to MC-62198, if you are still able to change the VBO option, leave a comment there.
Incomplete without a crash report (
[minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt
). Please attach it so that we can diagnose your issue.
