Aborted Connection by host machine and players on when they aren't

I'm playing Minecraft with two other people. The problem is that one of my friend keeps getting kicked out of my server. The server outputs the disconnection as

TranslatableComponent{Key='disconnect.genericReason',args=[Internal Exception:java.io.IOException: An establish connection was aborted by the software in your host machine],siblings=[] style=Style{hasParent=false, color=null, bold=null, italic=null,underlined=null,obfuscated=null,clickEvent=null,hoverEvent=null,insertion=null}}

After that, when he tries to log in, he'll log in and get timed out after a while, and then he gets kicked off of the server but list still says he is online and his character is there too. It just keeps repeating and restarting the server doesn't really help at all. When I restart the server, the first person that joins doesn't get the error while the other one does which is really weird. I have been told to reset the player dat files but that hasn't done anything. Any solutions?

If it only affects one player on the server, it is most likely an issue on his side.

From the description, it affects the third player who joins (the second after the host) so it isn't likely an issue specific to any one player.

I am not well versed in server settings but I would expect this issue to be related to some kind of player limit setting.

I just found the original issue, MC-37999, which is marked as "Invalid".

You'll need to take the error literal: "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine" means that there is something on the server hosting system that is aborting player connections, most likel an overprotective Firewall or Antivirus program, or Malware in the worst case.

The #minecrafthelp channel on EsperIRC might be able to figure out what is going on, if you come on and nobody answers, you'll need to wait a bit until someone is there that can actually help you.

I think it is the world. When I switched the world, it was fine for everybody. I don't see how the world is broken though since we were just playing survival. The thing is that we were playing in offline mode. So, right before we started to play, I turned it on online mode so I can test my skin (I'm premium). I logged onto the world and logged off. It might've been that that corrupted the world but I'm not sure.
