When messing with the new banners I found that when placing a banner right above the ground only one half would show. The other half would be lodged in the block below. When breaking that block the banner appeared to be there the entire time.
What I expected to happen was...:
I did't think it would let me place the banner a block above the ground because it would have no spot to place the lower part of the banner.
What actually happened was...:
The lower portion of the banner got stuck in the ground

2. Place the banner on the block
3. TADA: You now have half of a banner
