When a sticky piston is directly attaching to a slime block with all other sides of the slime block covered in some kind of solid block and then a redstone signal is applied to said piston. All of the Solid blocks, the slime block and piston's graphic flickers.

Yeah MC-62238 says that too. The transition isn't smooth. See my comment in that bug where I posted a video.
