So if I understand your bug correctly, you have numerous wolves and ocelots spawning around you? Seems to me that's similar to an old bug that affected people running OSX.

Erik Broes

Unable to replicate this with using seed '1945'. Could you give some more information? Could you perhaps upload a copy of the world somewhere so we could inspect it? (dropbox/attached here).

i am on windows, and that's happening to me until now.

I have still the same issue with 1.4.7, with 1.5 and also 1.5.1pre. Wolfes and ocelots spawn/teleport to me like tamed. I'm using Fedora linux.

I doubt this would make any difference, but have you tried using oracle java instead of openJDK?

mios theme

No I'm using only openJDK. Here is generated world. Maybe it helps

Just tested your world and it does not occur. The wolves neither follow me, nor spawn around me. 2 things to note: in the future please attach files directly to issue tickets. Also, you may want to try using oracle java, see if that makes any difference.

I've seen this happen to people using MinecraftSP that don't put in a user name when logging. If you are using MinecraftSP, just put in a username when logging in and it should stop.

I still get this bug in 1.5.2 😞

Have the same problem. This issue is still apparent in the latest snapshot.

Tim Gunderson

I am unsure if I am having the same problem; here's my flavor in 13w18c for experimentation:

I have a world where I traveled 4k from spawn using nether travel to an area with a river which is the border between a jungle and forest biome. I have about 30 cats all wandering around; the spawn rate seems unusually high.

Seed is 41327148
Coords are x -273 z -4169.

I'm also experiencing this issue. is there a temporary workaround? Like a way to turn off all wolves and cats?

Peter LaMontagne

This Still happens In 1.6.1 and it has lagged my entire world because they get stuck in fences and houses and multiply by the hundreds.

This bug bug me out

Tails

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.4 / Launcher version 1.3.7 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Tails

No answer, assuming no longer an issue.
