I reinstalled my OS so I'm now on windows 7, and I play 5 minutes of Minecraft before the game crashed. All of my drivers are up-to-date and I've checked everything before I logged in to send the crash report.

If it didn't meet the minimum requirements I wouldn't have been able to play minecraft as of 1.7 or even play it on linux.
maybe I don't meet the graphics card requirement but the game usually runs just fine for me and I usually use optifine when it's available for the specific version that I'm running so that way I can play the game and not have to worry.
Broken Intel graphics drivers.
