EDIT: It appears this only affects some worlds, though I have had worlds that were working just fine suddenly start being affected by this. This affects all game ticks, not just redstone. Entities move slower, things take longer to update, and such.
I've noticed something very peculiar in Minecraft 1.8. Redstone has been incredibly slowed down. For example, the famous double repeater clock will now go tick ----- tick ----- tick instead of tick-tick-tick, if that makes any sense. ALL of my redstone and command block inventions are broken because of this, including my RoadCraft industrial system (a command block contraption). PLEASE fix this as it is very crippling to my inventions.

Sure did I read all the text, but with that little information it was most probably a duplicate of MC-45458.
Neither the famous double repeater nor a RoadCraft industrial system are features of Minecraft, but maybe exploiting some glitches of Minecraft.
Anyway, please provide

@Kumasasa By 'double repeater clock' he means a redstone clock made with 2 repeaters connected in a loop. The most basic form of repeater clock. Also, I assume 'RoadCraft industrial system' is just a name he made up for a contraption, as there is no such mod called RoadCraft.

Conor is correct. I made a command block concept where if you set up a road right, it gives you a speed boost. Got the idea from SimplySarc. Also, I do not know what is causing this. It's just that a few of my old snapshot worlds, and all of the ones I create in 1.8, slow down redstone. I will post a forced crash report soon.

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.
Reopen this! This is not the same at all! Did you even read this before resolving it?
